Our Story

About Mission Work

Mission Work began when our founder - Tony Tay - recognised the need to extend a helping hand beyond Singapore's borders.

Through his journey serving vulnerable communities in Singapore and personal outreach trips overseas, Tony Tay understood that while needs differ across countries, the fundamental mission remains the same – an opportunity to help is an opportunity to help, regardless of geography, race, or religion.

Mission Work rallies the collective good in Singapore for causes beyond its shores. It carries forward Tony Tay’s vision and values cultivated in over two decades of philanthropist and humanitarian work. His approach is simple yet profound – by providing daily food security and a shelter, we can enable marginalised people to rehabilitate and reintegrate into society.

About Tony Tay

Tony Tay - The Servant Leader that embodies compassionate action and humble service

Tony Tay’s journey of service began with founding Willing Hearts, a soup kitchen that now provides 10,000 meals daily to people in need in Singapore. Building on this success, he established One Mission Pte Ltd – a platform that simplifies in-kind donations for charities, offering transparency for donors and streamlined support for recipients.

For his extraordinary contributions, Tony has received widespread recognition. Yet he remains steadfastly focused on his mission of helping more people in more ways. In every initiative, he strives for effective ways to make giving accessible and transparent while  ensuring impact at the receiving end transformative and enduring.

These values guide his work and inspire many who join his efforts, including those who once received help and now volunteer to support others.

Our approach

Our Mission

One Universal Mission: To Help, To Share, To Act

Despite its name, Mission Work is a secular organisation serving everyone in need regardless of race, religion, or nationality. Tony Tay serves as the catalyst who brings together people with shared compassion and willingness to act.

Mission Work emphasises sustainable development whenever possible. We focus on building infrastructure and systems that restore dignity while fostering self-reliance – whether through housing, education, or livelihood opportunities.

Current Mission: Elderly Home in Bangladesh

In Trishan, Mymensingh, 120km north of Dhaka, Bangladesh, abandoned elderlies struggle daily for basic survival. Many resort to begging for food and shelter. We’re transforming their lives by building a comprehensive care facility for 50 residents with an integrated farm and soup kitchen.

Construction is 65% complete, with the main structure already standing. We urgently need SG$50,000 to complete this life-changing home by July 2025.
